Athletics Club
Grouped together KS1 and KS2 (Split for certain events)
Each week will focus on a different aspect of Athletics, with a ‘mini Olympics’ to be held at the end of Term.
Events covered will be – Running varied distances (individual and team relays) including hurdles, Jumping, Throwing, Skipping.
Athletics (All Years)
- Week 1: Running Techniques (Sprints & Endurance)
- Week 2: Jumping Skills (Long Jump, High Jump Basics)
- Week 3: Throwing Techniques (Javelin, Shot Put Basics)
- Week 4: Relay Races (Teamwork & Baton Handling)
- Week 5: Hurdles Basics (Jumping & Running Technique)
- Week 6: Multi-Event Day (Rotating Track & Field Activities)
- Week 7: Personal Best Challenges (Timed Runs, Measured Jumps & Throws)
- Week 8: Athletics Meet (Competition Day)
